Assisted living placement in the Phoenix Valley

We match the level of care your parent actually needs to a licensed home or community that can deliver it, accepts their payer, and has an opening now.

The question that matters is licensure, not amenities

Families tour on the things they can see — the dining room, the courtyard, the smell of the hallway. Those are worth noticing. But whether a placement lasts is decided by something invisible on a tour: whether the home is licensed at a service level that covers what your parent needs.

Arizona licenses assisted living at three levels — supervisory care, personal care, and directed care — in both homes (ten residents or fewer) and centres (eleven or more). A supervisory-care home is not permitted to provide hands-on help with bathing and transfers. If your mother needs that help and is admitted anyway, the placement will fail. We see it constantly.

What we do

  • Care-needs review. Stephanie reviews the medication list, mobility, cognition, behaviours, and any wound, oxygen, or continence needs — and matches them to what each Arizona licence level is allowed to provide.
  • Payer reality check. Private pay, ALTCS, ALTCS-pending, VA Aid & Attendance, or long-term care insurance — each opens a different set of doors.
  • A short list, not a directory. Two to four homes with genuine current openings that accept both the acuity and the payer.
  • Tours, with Stephanie. She asks the questions families do not know to ask, about staffing at night and what triggers a 911 call.
  • Follow-up. After the move, at one week, and at thirty days.

Homes or centres?

Larger communities offer more activities, more amenities, and more staff on site. Smaller assisted living homes offer a far lower resident-to-caregiver ratio, less confusion for someone with dementia, and frequently a lower price. Neither is better in the abstract. The right answer depends on the person, and that is the conversation we have.

What it costs

Our service is free to your family — we are paid by the home your loved one moves into, and we explain that arrangement in full. The care itself varies widely across the Valley by level of care, room type, and location. We will give you honest ranges for your situation on the first call rather than after a tour.
